Pop Vocals course Sep-Oct
The September-October course will start on 9 September, Thursdays 7.30pm, at our studio in 182 Cecil Street #02-07 Telok Ayer Performing Arts Centre, register now for one of the few available spaces. Learn the fundamentals of singing in the style of Beyonce, Rihanna and other pop divas in this course! Singapore's soul sensation, Lim Huimin takes you on a musical exploration of the basics in pop singing, including securing breath control, posture, voice projection and singing through songs. Apart from pop & jazz vocal exercises that will help keep your voice in shape, you will also explore a variety of pop, jazz, mandarin songs and even ballads. This course aims to provide singers with a good foundation in singing technique (posture, breathing, anatomy, support, tone production) and then guide you on how you can use your voice for a variety of musical genres.

In response to demand for a specialist marketing and student recruitment facility for local and worldwide creative and performing arts and design institutions, QS WorldARTS Tour, launched in 2010, will be a unique series of dedicated international promotional events in key Asian cities. QS WorldARTS Tour events will be staged in an environment uniquely prepared to support the special cultures of the creative and performing arts and the special people who teach and practise them. This year’s lineup will be highlighted by some of the best European a cappella groups such as Fool Moon from Hungary, and Vocaldente, Niniwe and Klangbezirk from Germany. Expect to be wowed by their take on classic pop songs and jazz stylings. The festival content has also been expanded to include a youth segment and a local segment. These top Singaporean groups will be presenting their music alongside the international acts. Dear Singers, would-be singers and lovers of Christmas music, AUDITION CALL for PROJECT: CHRISTMAS VOCAL JAM 2010 The A Cappella Society is looking for singers and would-be singers to form a mixed pop choir for our Christmas Vocal Jam Concert Project on the 27th of November which will be presented at the Esplanade Recital Studio in 2 settings, a matinee and an evening show.
